Aggrey Amanyabyoona / Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Igara Growers Tea Factory Ltd

Aggrey Amanyabyoona is a tea farmer from Western Uganda. He is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Igara Growers Tea Factory Ltd (which also owns Buhweju Tea Factory) and chairs the Marketing Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Uganda Tea Development Agency Ltd (www.ugatea.com) that provides professional management services to Igara, Buhweju and Kayonza Tea Factories. He also serves on the Committee of Finance and Staff Affairs of Uganda Tea Association and a Board Member of Agri Industrial Security Guards Ltd where he chairs the Finance Committee of the BOD.

Outside the tea sector, Aggrey is Certified Procurement and Supply Chain Professional working with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (a Government of Uganda Procurement Regulatory Body) as the Regional Manager in Charge of the Northern and Eastern Regions of Uganda. He has 13 years working experience from the private sector, Government of Uganda Institutions and Donor Funded Programs. He has been influential in implementation of Government projects.

He is a member of the Institute of Procurement Professionals of Uganda and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS–UK. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA- Marketing), Professional Diploma in Procurement & Supply from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply – CIPS UK, Bachelors of Business Administration (MUK) and several certificates in Leadership, Investigations, Corporate Governance and Management.
