Mr Emile Sinzumusi / Director of Customs and Trade facilitation at the Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA)

Emile Sinzumusi has bachelor degree in Economic and Administrative Sciences of the University of Bujumbura in 1997. He is the Director of Customs and Trade facilitation at the Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) since 2012 to date. He has also held the positions of Commissioner General of the Burundi revenue Authority (2009 – 2011),  Director General of National Planning the Ministry of Planning and National reconstruction in Burundi (2006-2009), Director of Trade and Logistics, Burundi Coffee Company (2002 – 2006),  Deputy Director of Finance and Administration at Financial Company for Development (COFIDE), Financial Institution (2000- 2002), Union for Cooperation and Development (UCODE|), Microfinance (1999- 2000) and Plastica Ltd (Private, industry) (1997-1999).

Mr Emile has also played key roles as a Board Member at the Burundi External Trade Promotion Authority, Hotel Source du Nil, Burundi investment Authority. He has also been the High-Level task Force to Negotiate the EAC Common Market Protocol, AFRISTAT based in Mali, Bamako and ACBF (African Capacity Building Foundation, based in Harare Zimbabwe. He is a expert in Regional Migration. Trade, transport and Logistics. He oversees the trade and logistics surveys at NCTTCA , engages with the EAC Secretariat to open up alternative transit routes to the hinterland through Central Corridor and Monitors the performance of the EAC Single Customs territory, among others.
