Rudra Chatterjee is the Managing Director of Luxmi Tea, which produces 30 million kilograms of tea from 25 estates in India and Africa. He is the Chairman of Silverback Tea. The company owns Makaibari in Darjeeling, the world’s first organic and fair-trade tea estate.

Rudra is also Chairman of Obeetee, a century old home furnishings company that serves a global coustomer base. He is a director of Luxmi Township that has developed more than 600 acres of mixed-use real estate. Rudra is the Honorary Consulate of Rwanda to India in West Bengal, Assam, and North Eastern Region, with a Consular seat in Kolkata.

Prior to this, Rudra was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton’s New York office and received his MBA with Dean’s list from Columbia Business School. He did Masters in History of Design from University of Oxford.

Rudra volunteered in Clinton Global Foundation in New York and at the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. He is a certified wine taster and has trekked Kilimanjaro, Macchu Picchu, Stok La and Sandakphu.
