Mao Limin，member of the National Tea Standardization Technical Committee of China, Doctor of Tea Science, Senior Economist, and Chairman of Zhejiang Tea Doctor Biotechnology Co., Ltd. A seasoned veteran with over 32 years of experience in the tea industry, he currently holds multiple key positions: Honorary President of China Tea Marketing Association, executive director of the China Tea Science Society, and director of Matcha Professional Committee for both China Tea Marketing Association and the Chamber of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products.
He once served as Joint Secretary representing China at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Tea Technical Committee, participating in the formulation and review of numerous national and international tea standards, boasting profound industry expertise. Mao Limin is the pioneer in China engaged in the production, processing and export of organic tea.
In 1991, he took the lead in exporting 20 metric tons of SEC-certified organic black tea and organic green tea to the Netherlands, filling China’s gap in internationally certified organic agricultural products. He was also the first person to introduce modern matcha cultivation and production technologies from Japan back to China, and led the development of GB/T 34778-2017, the current national standard for matcha.
