Siby Diabira is a Global Investment Leader with over 20 years of expertise in Private Equity, Corporate Debt, and Development Finance across Africa and Europe.As a French-Mauritanian from the Senegal River, her professional journey is deeply rooted in a profound commitment to driving transformative change and sustainable growth across Africa. Currently, as Regional Industry Head for Agribusiness and Forestry, East and Southern Africa at the IFC (World Bank Group), she leads investment strategy and high-performing teams across the region.
This appointment marks a return to the continent where she has spent over a decade of her career, having previously led business development across Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean at Proparco before serving as IFC’s Lead Equity for Europe, where she spearheaded multi- regional investment strategies and fostered strategic partnerships in Western Europe. Siby now works in orchestrating complex transactions and building strategic partnerships across the agribusiness and forestry value chains, dedicated to leveraging finance for high-impact, sustainable development outcomes across Africa.
